I thought some people would want to know this information since this topic has been brought up many times on the board......

I played around with raising the bars on my F7 tonite and I had them installed at 8 3/4" of rise and all the wires/cables are long enough to have it this way. I have an Iso-Vibe and installed a factory 6.5" riser along with the Iso-Vibe in the tallest position(2 1/4" rise) and all that I needed to do as far as cable length was cut the zip ties that hold the wires to the lower part of the steering post and re-route the throttle cable so that it doesn't run through the riser block(position the cable in front of the riser block). I ended up liking the bars at 8" of rise and this is the way I plan to keep it(turned the Iso-vibe to the lower position of 1.5" rise and the 6.5" Arctic Cat riser). I left the throttle cable routed outside /in-front of the riser block so that if/when I decide to change riser blocks, I dont need to un-hook the cable from the thumb control.
