Quit whining, we got enough of that going around.A lot of BS about nothing
Your passion to hate on Cat keeps you close minded and sounding like a fool (no offense, I respect your opinion jdsky), why leave the door open like that? Cat's 600 is an excellent motor, it was built-in house and shows they are capable of making a great, powerful reliable engine. So what else does Cat have for two stroke performance? The worst performing 600cc sled in the business. Take a look at the 600cc shootouts for as far back as you want to go. Where's Cat been in those results?
The 2014 Sled of the Year was a ProCross 600, or El Tigre. Not exactly yesterday, but it shows how well rounded that setup was and is. It's also responsible for countless podium wins in the 600 class, winning historic percentages just a few years ago.
For the record you set yourself up for, sorry for owning your shit.
Now you see how silly this type of comment looks? As for engine technology and superiority. Any edge Cat had in the two stroke engine department left the house with the Zuk partnership.
The 2020 CTEC 800 in an Alpha 1 beat the 850's up a Mountain, but thats mostly due to the Alpha 1 skid being superior then the competition and grabbing much more snow. Reviewers say its just as powerful, and it bested Polaris's 800 in 1/2 races.Since that time the company has absolutely struggled to get a performance two stroke into the marketplace worth a shit. The Ctec 800 has been a complete disaster of an engine that Cat continues to struggle with today. They were so late to market with it that they finally just had to dump it on their customers and hope for the best. This while the competition was already moving on from 800cc's as their top performing engine. What is the answer from your beloved brand that you continue to say is PERFORMANCE minded over everything else? A 397cc beginner sled. Yep, that's certainly being laser focused on performance.
So what else does Cat have for two stroke performance?
The 850 nonsense is just that, its to re-ignite some interest and bring some flair to the market.
Cat wouldn't make a dinky 850, then would jump right to a 900.
But they don't need it, the 800 they have competes very well with the 850's, and the 998 blows them all out of the water.
If your going to hate on a brand and soak tampons, atleast try not to sound like a baby who started snowmobiling yesterday,
