That looks about right, I have all state for my rzrz and 2 sleds, It went up by about the same, but it is a reasonable amount if you ask me ..

 

Mine didn't go up one bit from Progressive but its only just my 07 600.

 

I have a Progressive policy, through Snowmobile Insurance Quote | Sled Insure Agency. Went up by a few percent this year, same sleds.

 

Safeco full coverage policy on two sleds through Powersports Insurance . $30 reduction from last season. Couldn't find a insurance provider that can touch their price.

Canceled after the loan, 20 years of riding, 30,000 + miles, never have used it
I don't plan on crashing, if some hits me it's their problem

 

Don't want to get into a pissin' contest .... but .... you must not own much (home, stocks, etc.) or have a family to protect because otherwise you a running a HUGE risk.

 

Got all that house, 401k, etc. I’ve never had health insurance, sled, car(weekend summer car). I have home owners because they make you for the loan and I have liability on my daily mainly so I can drive out of state if need be. Everything in life is a risk but I can tell you this I’m a lot happier taking that risk than giving some insurance company 15-20k a year for nothing.

 

I'm in Wisconsin i had my 18 thundercat with American family and paid over 600 per year i switched to state farm and for a little better coverages I now only pay about 220 per year

I just added a 21 polaris sks 850 and pay 258 per year for same coverages

Both rates also include 3000 of riding gear and accessories

 

You would be correct, don't own a home, no kids, but I have plenty of other Insurance I pay for.
Just not the sled anymore, It really was not that expensive, I just cant see needing it on a 5 year old sled. IMHO

 

I Was mainly talking about liability. I agree that collision and theft of a 5+ year old sled may not be worth it but if you or someone who is riding your sled kills or maims someone you could be held liable. I just can't take that chance for the few hundred dollars for sled insurance.

 

I pay $26/mo thru State Farm for my 2018 SKS800 full coverage. No increase (or decrease for that matter) since new. That's in Maine

 

Just got quoted just under $400/yr for my sled for full insurance. Still steep IMO, but WAY better than the last time I checked.

My policy for my '19 Ski Doo 900T Enduro is under $400 for full coverage and the lowest deductible. I also bump my medical coverage to $50k where the standard is $25k. Get into a bad crash and $25k doesn't go very far these days. This is through State Farm. I think it's $386 a year if I recall correctly.

 

That's where I got my quote. '20 Riot 8000. Everyone else had been MUCH higher, I can't remember if it was Progressive or Geico but one wanted 2 grand for my sled, lmfao

I have Allstate and we pay $13.99 a month for two sleds during the off season. Pay $24.99 for both sleds after adding full coverage for the 3 months we ride. So roughly $200 per year for two sleds.

 

Just insured 19 MXZ 600R and 2021 MXZXRS850 $476 allstate for both. I priced a bunch they were hands down the most reaonable. Simple online process getting the policy and payment. My Buddy had a bad accident last year and no issues, Allstate paid right away. I used Jon Clark in Wofeboro. ( first time w them, i dont know him, but good service for what its worth ) Happy Holidays all, let it snow!!!!!!!

Agree 100%. Allstate has gone thru the roof in the last 3 or so years. Just insured my New sled, 2021 Ski-doo Renegade XRS, $340 +\-! I remember when similar spring order sled was maybe $150 4 or 5 years ago . . . . .

 

As the originator of this thread, I feel compelled to give an update. I did talk to my Allstate Rep (who happens to be my DIL - hahahaa!) ... anyways, she did explain they've had about a 20% to 30% increase this past two years. The 800's and above got the biggest increase. So, bottom line, for my 4 sleds the insurance for this year is $538.50 so I guess I shouldn't complain.

 

My liability only on my 2015 800 is 75 bucks/yr. Thru Formost who writes RV insurance for Liberty Mutual who has our home and vehicles.

 

I have full coverage for about $480/yr on my '19 Norseman 8000 (800cc class goes up a lot over 600) but it's only $70 for comprehensive which is really the only coverage you need to leave on year round. Since I drop the liability and collision out-of-season I usually end up only paying about $180/yr since it does pro-rate.

 

We had many fights and been going through many other insurance companies but none except joywallet.com could guarantee a good price with out any further changes, 2nd year working with them and did not had a single problem.
