I assume your talking the Z1. mounting K&N's onto the throttle body's would be nice but it is important to make sure that the temp sensor is mounted somewhere in the air intake track. That sensor (along with a few others) is what the ECU uses to know how much fuel to give it during outside temp changes. If you can make a small adapter between the throttle body & air filter you might be able to mount it thru that or maybe if you have a metal end on your air filter you might be able to lengthen the wires to the sensor & mount it on the end of the aircleaner.
