Looking for experience/opinions on the Aaen single pipe for the 600ves.

The type that uses an internal integral silencer.

This would be for use on a relatively stock 600.
Likely reeds and possibly a head.
Expecting midrange torque and response. Not expecting significant HP numbers.
How loud are they?
Are they consistent and or fussy about pipe temp? They aren't ceramic and or don't use a heat shield.

I believe AFJ used one on his 660 previously?
Any others?

I'm pretty sure thats the pipe one of our guys tried on his 01 600 sometime ago...from what I remember it didn't do anything except sound more pingier...not loud...just different...I remember he was always playing with the carbs everytime it got colder, or warmer to. I think Polaris thought these 600 motors out well that you don't need to put different exhausts on them.

Lose 18+ lbs (for real) with no percieved performance loss or gain. The engine seemed to run a little hotter with the pipe and jetting was less forgiving than with the stock pipe but both were very workable and would not stop me from buying one again in the future. Did I say that you lose 18lbs. Sound was fine, not loud at all. I heard they have a new design also that incorporates a separate double core silencer.
