A pull start boost is the same weight as an ES NA 850, not really worth mentioning imo
How is that? 25lbs is 25lbs that is worth several hp and shows up in a race.
Adding Electric Start to a NA 850, adds about the same weight, as the Boost addon on a Manual Start Boost.
So those two sleds would be the same rolling weight.

The difference between a 650 and 850 is 30-35hp and they weigh the same. The boost is heavier and makes 15hp more then a na 850. Problem is guys are finding they can’t clutch the boost to its peak Hp without det. Now it becomes a 10hp different revving the boost higher.

No issues, good setup stock vs stock is one thing and stock to stock is another where the boost is faster. Just saying a stock clutched 850 can take a stock Boost in a drag race so no surprise a 900 will do the same.
I agree the Boost will get better with time. I’ve heard rumors they will be eventually be intercooled.
What about i they just dump a can of Octanium octane booster in every tank? That stuff does work. For a guy who ponied up the extra cash for a Boot, what's $20 extra per tank.

1st year sled.
Only 3000 Guinea Pigs that bought them.
Many still haven't been delivered and most of us are in a Low snow and un-safe lake ice season.
Reports and testing are coming slow but eventually we will iron out the wrinkles and find the faults and fixes.
Polaris as usual will listen to what us Guinea Pigs speak and talk about.
You can expect that next year's model will have improvements.
More than just a little new tech here in the Boost.

"This new Boost platform isn't and won't be any different than any other 1st year prototype."

I like the boost a lot and I also like that poo took the risk to bring something like this and the 9r. They are kind of taking some pages out of old cats book. Bring fast sleds to the table and also offer everything else. There is reward in risk and none in sitting back and being passive.
They are expensive and there are things to fix. They are not for everyone and they have quirks. It is going to separate who can set up sleds and who can’t as well.
i enjoy that
It’s not for everyone

I would consider the MY22 Matryx RMK Boost sleds to be the 1st year production sleds. The Matryx platform was in production in 2020, so there were plenty of chassis available for test mules, the AXYS mountain tunnels can easily be installed.
The Matryx Flatland Boost had test mules available, in 2020, and the power package itself could be tested in AXYS production sleds.

You are correct but I still feel that the 1st production run for when us consumer's have a chance to buy and ride the new technology Polaris learns much more in the way of improvement.
We are the paying Guinea Pig's when we buy a 1st year "Production" anything and we give Polaris "Much" new data for them to further tune out the Gremlin's that they missed or haven't yet refined.
So even though the Boost has been in RMK's for one season I'd wager that there are things that in the Boost RMK that are better in 2023 than what was revealed in 2022 because of paying testers.
Even though the Boost has been in RMK's for a year and tested buy test mules in flatland Matryx chassis why are so many people with 2023 flatland Boosts dealing with freewheeling sleds with no backshift? There's other Gremlin's that will be refined and fixed because 2023 will hopefully at some point have 3,000 new Guiinea Pig's out there creating complaints and testing for the fixes w/o the help of Polaris. History should repeat itself and I'd guess the 2024 Flatland Boost will be better than the 2023. My point is that "Every" 1st year production sled has wrinkles that need to be ironed out after the masses of consumers buy them and run them for the 1st time. The Boost will be no different.

What lake?
And you have to catch it 🤣
People hate on this sled I guess because of price? 🤷‍♂️
Hands down best sled without comparison on the snow out of the box quick. with the exception of studs added
I guess I’ve had nothing prior to compare to it at least.
