Just got done running my 02 600 zl for about 110 miles. Love the sled. All I could ask for. Any way I kept my old ride and it is a good sled also, but has a problem with idling way hi, like over 3000 rpm. Had the carbs cleanded and it did not help. Would putting in larger pilot jets help lower the R's. It is all stock! Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

You may be past this point but did you turn the idle screw out. Pilots not the problem you have the fuel screw to adjust the pilots if their clean do anything there. Check on the carb cable hanging up. Hows the intake boot going into airbox or other air leak places carb flanges, crank seals

Boots are in good condition. It will rev down if I let it sit for a while. Most of the time I use the choke to bring it down, which leads me to beleave it is running lean on the bottom. Will check the idle screws. Thanks.
