Hey everyone so I have a had several pro Rmk’s over the years. 13,15,16,and now a 18. I am looking to upgrade again this year. I always buy slightly used so I am looking at a 19,20 850. I have heard lots of rumours about the 850 engine having bearing issues? Wondering if this only affected some sleds and what year they updated and fixed the issue? Should I avoid the 850 and look for a boosted 800? Wanting some more power this year

Only effected some 19s. It was due to case sealer plugging up oiling and an assembly issue. For 20 they addressed that and also put a alignment ring on pto bearing. No issues with 20 and newer. And only some 19s. The 19s that went down usually went down within that first season.
So if a sled has 1000KM plus on it. It is safe to say it wasn’t a affected one?

I have not heard of any issues here in the Northeast regarding engine failures.....a handful of 19' models did have a bearing issue like Lid2 referred to, but other than that, the 20' and 21' models have been great. You will always have that one here and there with an issue, but that is with any brand, any size. My newphew has a 19' with a Silber turbo that has been on it since day one and the only issue was with the turbo spitting the blade into the engine. And don't believe everything you see from aftermarket shops.....one is advertising a billet PTO end and upgraded bearing for so called issues. I have not heard of any crank issues anywhere in the Northeast where I live.
