I have sent mails to the big Fuel companies and received confirmation of what is in each grade of gas. I have never in my life (touch wood) had a bad gas situation. Not in any of my sleds, not in any of my summer power equipment or my mercury 300xs. Jus sayin
I know here we just had a scandal that for a whole year the oil company the owns the province was not putting supreme in the supreme tanks... "By mistake"

This refinery also supplies most stations no matter what the brand.

Ive never had bad gas per-se because they dont advertise octane at a lot of places here and they put stickers on the pumps that say "May contain up to 10% ethanol".
Then you go ask the attendant and they say " I don't think supreme has ethanol in it"
The individual stations here can choose what fuel spec. so it can change from location to location. ( i think that is just to insulate the big bad company from screw ups)

I've gotten bad diesel twice now tho.

OH BTW, 80% of the 300 000+ barrels per day of this refinery go to the US, hope none of that was put in the wrong tank also lol They probably only screw the locals anyway lol

So Krom SAYS they are running out of engines. BULLSHIT! My buddys 2019 850 went down with 4k miles on it. The crank bearing finally walked.Polaris is giving him a brand new engine and 1 full year more warranty.

Is it stock? Like I said. No tuner no pipe no elaborate clutching no reeds no flash etc. I’m on the hill all the time I’m not hard to find.

Oh, I’m sure it will all be none stock! Down to the carbides! Wink, wink!

I don’t think Polaris is stupid. I highly doubt they’d offer up a four year warranty then run out of back-up engines. They know their own history.

I'm here to tell you a stock Ctec 2 will not beat an 850 anything after driving one in the UP this week. Very wishful thinking.

They do "Cat" have a good ride just a little lower in the seat than Poo and Doo.:bc:

In my area there is a somewhat isolated research outpost with everything from 30 to 150 residents during the year. Around 10 years ago they had a whole shitload of Doo 800's burn down.
They finally got the supplier to send gas samples in for analysis - and found that the supposed 95 RON
gas tested 88-89 RON. And they got several barrels of Toluene shipped up to use as octane booster to get thru the winter.

A buddy who worked there as a mechanic managed to switch many over to Yamaha 4 strokes - they survived just fine on that low grade fuel :snack:

Good luck ZZZ you will need it. :bc:

Don't get me wrong the two Cats 800's are great sleds but not the same as an 850 when it comes to power IMO.

At this point, I have not had a chance to run an 840 Polaris but I am confident it will run with the 850 Doo side by side maybe even ride better than the Doo. :dunno:

Haven’t needed any luck so far. But I tip my hat to the courteous Poo riders out there this year. It’s almost weird!

It is what you said, Not saying I would win, but it would be fun to run! This coming week?
If we get snow I’ll probably be up wed night. Yes we run for fun. All good natured. Usually about 1000 ft Sometimes a good size group and mix of sleds . We don’t go to “race “ but you know how that turns out. Lol. I’ll carry a bore camera and scope , compression tester , dial indicator ,bore snap Guage , degree wheel and spring tool instead of the shovel. Lol. What’s KBR stand for?

Ya isn't that a coincidence:bsflag:
I think @thunder999 is just trying to be clever. He's actually referring to the after effects from his Taco Bell binge and getting the shits. Bad gas & Poo aren't actually sled related in this instance

BS

Once in Hurly Wi I got bad gas in my ELT 6000 Cat and I had to dump the shit out on the ground in front of the North Pole Tav if that was today we would have had to call in a hazmat team.
