will a 98 700 primary fit a 03 700 xcsp. taper wise,

i also seem to recall around 01 i think, they came out with the low pin clutch,
were they better,?

yes got a narrow roller clutch off 700 tripple touring on mine.

just curious,are you running 10-60 style weights ,?do they fit?

yes,ran 10- 60s last yr.got 10-62's in now to load up clutches against 50-42-34 dalton helix. not as much room for wider weights when pins start to wear.
