I just put some 6.5 " risers on my F cat. Boy are they sweet and just perfect when I`m standing up. But when I Sit down I feel like one of the Bikers that have those huge bars. I`ll get some pics soon.

what did u do with the grip heaters did u put them on the renthals?
i heard that when the heat up the can soften the aluminum of the handlebars
