I just ordered a pair of these and was looking for input. I decided to pass on the heated version not thinking they would last in the cold, especially for the money.

Kind of hard to give a review on a specific pair of goggles in my opinion unless you ask for which helmet it’s going with. Even then my suggestion is always try them on with your helmet first. My wife and I have several 509 and FXR helmets and numerous models of 509 goggles. Sinister x6 ignites, kingpin, aviator, and revolvers as well as some others. Each helmet and size has different effects with different goggles. I wear an XL and I like the revolvers best if it’s warm because there is a lot of air movement with those and I feel I get air around the frame. When it’s cold and we are riding the mountains I prefer the king pin over all the others. I always carry different color lenses in my pack for the revolvers and king pins when I ride for changing conditions. If I had to pick one goggle for all conditions with my 509 altitude carbon, it would be kingpin. The X6 and the like I never seem to get a great seal with them. Just my 2 cents for a what it’s worth. Goggles are not cheap anymore so best get a set you really like, and then when you find the right pair, buy a couple more sets.

Ever since Polaris bought 509 their goggles are complete trash. I have 2 pairs of them I use regularly. I am always sending them back for warranty. My smith’s and Oakley’s are 20+ years old and the foam finally gave out on them. I have been running 509 since they started selling the original sinisters. Cracked frames and foam falling off has been my issues with 509. They spend most of their time in the hard case they sell.
