I plan to run two pairs of sinister goggles. I've read a lot about the different lenses people use. Most of it is what lens works for both day and night.

I think clear will be best for night.

What's a good all around for day time? Could be sunny, could be cloudy.

Polarized make a big difference?
What about the photochromatic?

There's so many choices it's hard to choose.

Im running the Rose for day and clear for night. Ive tried the smoked for day and if its cloudy out, it can be hard to see at times. Thinking of trying the polarized yellow lens

I've got yellow for day clear for night and picked up a rose tint for day also. Wearing them outside I think I'm gonna shelf the yellow and go with rose for day and clear for night. The yellow are ok but suck at night. Might be just me but I can't have anything but clear at night any tint at all really screws up my vison in the dark.

this will be my first season with goggles. My starting lineup for this year is a set of aviators photochromatic blue-clear for night and sinister-5 smoke for sunny days.I must say,if i had to do it over again,I would of done rose colored fire mirror for day and clear for night.Lets hope it works,I've given 509 enough of my money this year.

I'd go with polarized. My old pair wasn't and on a all day ride it was very bright out and when I got about 10 miles from home my left side of my head started to hurt really bad behind my eye. When I went inside I noticed my eye would only open half way and that's it. Even if I made my eyes wide only my right eye lid worked right. Did that for a day before it went back to normal.

I run yellow lense now. My old pair was rose and I like both equally. I think rose did a better job seeing the terrain on a couldy day. But just by a little bit. I run mine at night with the yellow no problem. My rose pair I also used at night. I liked the yellow at night better

I have a pair of Aviators Black ops polarized. I have not had a chance to use them "a lot" but so far they are like a big pair of sunglasses. I find myself wearing sunglasses most of the time in the winter, so these goggles work for me. Others say they are too dark so its up for interpretation. The way I see it, if you would wear sunglasses these goggles will work. The polarized aspect, it does cut down on glare and is good for most of the reasons it's good in the summer. (except looking for fish ha ha)

Does the polarized help at all during cloudy daytime riding?

I always wear sunglasses so that makes we want the polarized black ops. However, not sure how great those would be on cloudy days. Probably a rose or yellow would be better for cloudy days.

Damn, pretty much need 3 pairs of goggles. Clear for night, tinted for sunny days and colored for cloudy days.

I used to run solely yellow until I got another pair with rose. Now the yellow is the backup and I almost always ride with my rose pair. I don't normally ride at night but if I get caught up at night the yellow will get me by. However I'd like to get a clear lens for those occasions as well.
