Hello everyone. It's about that time of the year again to plan the first U.P. ride of the year. It will be the second weekend of December. Back up date due to lack of snow would be the third weekend. We'll be staying at the Mineral River Lodge in White Pine like past years. There is usually more than enough snow for this weekend, it will be early season riding of course, but it will get rid of the bug. Should be able to do a mix of trail riding and off trail depending on conditions. Who wants to join? More details to follow..............

There's a very good chance that I will be up there as well for some early season boonedocking. Last year, this same weekend, we rode 3' of powder.

Ok I think I'll break the sleds out again. I was at the 1st annual but missed the 2nd. I better get my ass in gear and get the sleds tuned and ready go.

Eric, you can't still be hungry you just had breakfast!

You don't want to ride the first snow that falls. Give the clubs time to roll and pan the trails. If it doesn't get cold here pretty quick, i'll be pushing off the HCS ride to the following weekend.

If you going for strictly off trail, then have at it. If your planning on going up to ride on trails as well, give it time. Go watch some sled porn to cure the bug for a week..... :mother_nature:

I would be off trail riding. If I wanted to stay on the trail I would ride in WI. Actually I would still ride in MI but im not very good at waiting.

X2

i was doing my part and checking to make sure that they were not throwing away anything that was recyclable, LOL!

nice to hear that you are still alive todd. we MUST hook up this year again, even if there is no snow, just to booze it up a bit. weather looks bad boys.

also, i am not going to be able to get any days off the rest of the year, so i probably won't make it on this ride.

Tthere will be snow in the UP by the time of this trip more than likely. In a week the lake effect will start rolling and we'll be made in the shade! Hell, I think there is still a decent chance ill be heading up to ride dec 5-6th. Ill ride the early season up trails and forest roads without issue.
