That was a whole lot of nothing for a sled reveal. Pathetic. Funny how Polaris will manage to lose even more market share with both Cat and Yamaha out of business.
I don’t know why anybody is surprised as to just little tweaks and changes… one they are needed and two we don’t need to see anything new.. AND Polaris is not going any further out on a limb with the future so unpredictable.. honestly, good news.

They should have worked on rear skid to smooth out stutter bumps better. That's about the only complaint I have about them. Not a fan of w.e.shocks either maybe switch to all fox.

@1fastpolaris can you talk to me about the voyager with the 154 articulated skid. Can you tell me more about this machine. I don't think I'm ready to go to a titan or extreme. On thurs/ Friday we ride fast 200 mile days and will ride no matter of trail conditions and Saturday we explore fire roads. Current sled is 2020 800 xc with xcr fts and revalved rts stock WE ifs with 1.5 storm

Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply.

Nevermind I see it's not available with the 850
I didn't get to try one , but my dealer did. He said it will climb like a mountain sled and was well mannered on trail. With the 15x155x2" track it should be very capable in off trail conditions, especially in lower elevation flatter areas. It has the same style skid like the titan that folds up in reverse to avoid trenching except it's only 15" wide. Should be a very versatile machine for someone off grid so a to speak.

If your so diehard why not just buy the Cross Country sled? or used/new snow cross sleds? Plenty of options out there for someone who doesn't want 7S or electric start.

Polaris putting those options on the XCR is the same reason why GMC puts TV screens in every Yukon Denali. 80% of buyers want it or can afford it.
You completely misunderstood my post. I'm not a die hard and no use for an XCR or anything above that. I like my Assault and couldn't imagine riding anything different.

Same here. My '25 XCR is pretty damn close to my expectations of peak sled. Did I lay out some extra cash to accessorize it the way I want and play around with suspension and clutching? Absolutely, but I do that with any sled. Is there anything about the performance envelope that I'm unhappy with? Absolutely not. I put the Cross Country middle spring on it, CC limiter strap setup, XHD torsions and revalved the shocks and damn, I'm real happy with it.

The long tails, trap springs, taller spindles and all the other stuff off the Cross Country are intriguing, but my front yard is the same riding area where some of the contributors here have been playing with those parts on their '24 and '25 XCRs, and there's some Cross Countrys running around up here too. I've crossed paths with them in the field, and it's not like they're catching up to me on the trail (or vice versa). I think we're getting to the spot where we're close to making these machines as good as they can be with current generation of ICE and suspension technology. Dynamix is probably the next frontier, but the way it's marketed doesn't appeal right now to the XCR rider who beats on the sled and worries about breakage in the field.

My surprise is that there is no Big Turbo 4S in '26, did I miss something?
The Doo 900Ace engine -vs- the Prostar S4 is no comparison.
While the S4 is a fine powerplant, its has a heft issue.

The S4 is simply too heavy as its 85 pounds heavier than the competing 900. Adding turbo's will only increase the weights of the sleds well into the mid 6's.

I'm not one to complain about minor things like colors, every year I like some and dislike others but the decision to take away the xcr 850 was incredibly dumb.
They will lose buyers to skidoo because you can get an XRS 850 for a few grand less than a 9R XCR. Many people just want the reliability, comparatively better fuel/oil economy and longer warranty of an 850.
Is polaris going to ever make a turbo 4-stroke?? If not then get ready to hand skidoo a big chunk of market share up for grabs with yamaha/arctic cat not producing them.
Ice scratchers!!! I heard directly from the owner of a polaris dealer that they were "working on" scratchers for 129/137s - this was in November. How are they ok with forcing their customers to spend $100's on aftermarket solutions from company's like onerig???
Look at these obvious holes in your lineup/product offerings and fix them.

Did you notice that the 9R XCR was the only XCR exclusive snowcheck? I'll bet you'll see both 650 and 850 XCRs as floor models next fall

I don't believe so. Never seen something totally not listed on the website show up at dealers. If the 850 was still available in the XCR you would be able to order it...

4S just meaning 4 stroke. Polaris doesn't have a badass 4 stroke heavy or otherwise was my statement.

I’m not some genius but I can guarantee
My 850 assault is better that a new one after doing some things.. ant no doubt. Ya I know you can always do something but I’m talking stuff that wouldn’t have cost Polaris pennies to do in the factory. Some of the improvements I’m talking are difference between a ruined winter and several failures during a season. Sure would help there reputation a bit. And obviously some things only Polaris can and need to do!!

I think that's a fad that ran its course. If someone could make a trail legal version, I feel it's a different conversation. It's far too small of a market for a major OEM to participate.
There is a diehard segment of snowbike riders who will never go back to sleds, or ever prefer a sled over a bike. You're right, too small of an OEM market, but they are not going away, will remain niche kits. Bikes are able to easily access terrain in the mountain west that is inaccessible to sleds, regardless of how good a rider you are. Very different experience.

Poo will eventually spin off the tech and brand to a niche buyer. As it should be. It was always a gamble, just another take like ACats shot at a complete bike.

Also not pleased with dropping the 850 in the XCR. I understand having 2 motors 50CC apart doesn't make a lot of sense and you'll probably see the 850 dropped or very limited after this year. What I don't like is that extra 50CC is very expensive @ $2600.00 more ( Assault comparison) compared to an 850 which did everything I wanted it to do. Both now have 3 year warranties so the 9R gained and the 850 lost in that category.

Polaris is only doing IMO what will sell to make more $$$ I’d say I know too many guys that will drop there 850 like a bad habit and run to a 900r.. it’s bigger! Look at the up charges! Polaris knows this🤨

Diehard? You can't be serious. I sure don't want ES on my 650 with the 7s.
Why would anybody in the year 2025 buy a brand new snowmobile without a 7s or electric start that’s is ridiculous the other gauge option for one is pathetic looking and you can barely see it. It didn’t look right on a sled 15 years ago never mind now
