I never thought I’d see the day a bigger than 600 in the RXC

Looks like they're aimed directly at the 850 XCR and MXZ. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the MY25 lineup.

Just trying to soak in as much as possible in that one screen grab, they're saying "next generation C-Tech2". They almost certainly have plans for the "125-class" engine, don't they?

I bet they keep the current 600 around for a couple years so they can get in season on snow testing done for final calibrations on their new 600 class engine like they did with the 858. They are not rushing to put a new engine out with run issues and that is a good thing but I for sure expect a new design from them sooner than later utilizing the same bottom end of the 858 with the integral engine mounts and be able to mount the 600 class engine without what amounts to an adaptor plate. And they will go bigger displacement when they do and use the new fuel system and exhaust valve designs. Really like to see them do a 700 and shock the industry and offer something different than the others. That would be a very smart move IMO:cool:

They have a lot of irons in the fire right now. They still don't have any real customer/durability issues to deal with as there is no snow. They're wrapping up the 858 intro, likely have a turbo 858 in the works, likely have a 4S in the works for the Catalyst, and the anticipated 656/658. Then you throw in the new GPS platform.

I catch a lot of grief when I say they have a lot of work to do to catch up to the rest. I think this paints the picture quite clearly.

Hmmm, 4% lighter than the legacy 800, just as I tried saying all along despite the clowns saying it was lighter than the 600. Maybe this time they told the rest of the team so they are all on the same page.

I don't doubt the entire 858 vehicle will be lighter than the 600 vehicle, but there are other factors taken into consideration such as exhaust, engine mounting, etc. The engine alone was never going to be lighter.
