Has anyone been around Watson area on the trails in the last week? Looking at maybe making the drive up on Saturday, but don’t want to be rattling our teeth on icy hard trails.

Blowing snow and Minus 40C wind chills for the next few days..Ugly!!!!
We drove up to Naicam last Saturday. Forecast was calling for a slight chance of flurries and less than 1 cm. A mile north of Watson, hit the whiteout. Took almost 40 minutes to get to Naicam. Waited for a half hour and was only getting worse, so we slowly made our way back to Watson. Visibility was about 50 feet in front of the truck at best. Thankfully it as just massively heavy snowfall and next to zero wind. Didn’t drive out of it until half way to the truck stop at the Yellowhead turnoff. So sleds rode the trailer for 6 hrs and never even got fired up. But we weren’t going to risk riding on unknown trails in very little visibility and then driving home in the blizzard after dark (biggest fear was what if the wind picked up). On the bright side, we got out of the house for 6 hrs.

Thanks weatherman!!

survived a cold weekend at Hudson bay last weekend. Rode the trails from Hudson bay and north. Snow got better the further north and west, but trails right from town were all in great shape (smooth, no rocks/dirt areas). Managed around 250 miles and only saw 6 other sleds in the 3 days we were out. Morning riding started around -35 and got up to around -27 on the warmest day lol

Trails mostly all groomed..Stupid wind today , some open trails getting banks...So far soft, but if temp rises they could become ugly..

Fabulous snaps! I've never been to the Taj Mahal shelter. Where is the second snap taken?

Sleds look great. The Ski-Doo luggage bags are fabulous.
