Got a 2013 120cc kids sled and it is hunting/ surging at idle. I cleaned the carb thoroughly and when I start it the sled goes from low idle to track spinning in about 2 seconds and just sits there going up and down constantly. I checked the post by sledporn and tried nearly everything the folks there mentioned but to no avail.

To root out some things I disconnected the throttle cable and held the throttle plate at idle and had no change. I tried to see if it was electrical so I unplugged the voltage regulator and it went to pretty well full throttle with the carb trying to sit at idle, same with the plug to the kill and throttle safety switch.

If anyone has a suggestion or needs some more info please go nuts. I'd really like to get this figured out. I can try and post pics/videos if that helps too.

When you cleaned the carb did you disassemble the carb and soak it or just the main jet and float bowl? At least you should disassemble the carb, inspect the pilot jet and shoot some carb cleaner though all the passages and blow them out with compressed air. Check the float level and needle and seat.
