On the short 120 inch tracks , Is there to much torque for a short track ? what have you done to control it ?

I don't think short or long will make a huge difference... the 1200's are just super torquey. My '14 was a 137" and it just spun like crazy. I studded it fully, what else can you do? Just enjoy it!

120” XR is still one of my favorite rides.
It spins quite easy because of the torque.
I had a 1” lug track, you wont win any drag races. But 850s will burn pistons trying to keep up with ya up top. Plus I use to love powersliding turns...
Those days are unfortunately behind me now, with no more shortrack offerings in 4s. U can slide 129 and some 137, but you need more than 130hp to get it done.

I have ridden the 120" and 137" 1200, and my preference is the 137" for sure. With all of that torque, the 137" hooks up better, plus it handles better and rides better.

IMHO, the 120" track is too short for that torque and plus the 137" helps to better balance that somewhat heavy front end too.

Although, a 120" 1200 with a 150 Storm or 150 Ice Storm track would be interesting.
