Found some conflicting info on how much oil for the chaincase on my 2009 1200 GTX,

2009-10 manual says 250ml , newer literature says to use more , and newer cases can use as much as 500 ml.

Is it just a relocated oil level plugs or do the cases differ that much?

500ml is too much, you’ll get spit up out the vent at top speed.

And maybe even, the top gear going “free” for a second or so at the very very top end.

Those problems do not happen at 250ml.
Ran that for 5 or 6 seasons.
Then went to 350ml for peace of mind. No problems there.

Most are running about 400 ml reason being with 250 some would pop out of gear, and use good oil 75-140 or 75-90 full synthetic
