First off, I apologize for posting this if it's something that's been beaten to death. I'm at work right now, and can't spend the time to search for all the past posts regarding aftermarket skis for the 2005 Fusion.

A buddy of mine has last year's Fusion (the Anniversary Edition) ... it's got the Walker Evans shock package, I think 144 studs, and some tweaking within the suspension. Overall, I think he's pretty happy with the ride but he's looking into a new set of skis. Have any of you guys gone the Aftermarket route with Simmons or SLP? Any positive feedback ... or even negative for that matter? Before he spends the money on a new set of skis, he was looking to see if anyone could offer some insight and if it's really worth the money.

Thanks guys :beerchug:

Hmmm.... so you are riding a AC F-7? and your friend a Fusion??? hmmmm... didnt think any F-7 owners didnt want a buddy driving a Fusion...
Simmons ski got very good feedback on Fusionson this forum.
Personally I have tried a pair of SLP skies, and they worked great to, a little heavyer to turn, but on the other hand, you turn....not like the original skies

I think both will match the Fusion a lot better than the stocks one. :div20:

Thanks Tromso .. that's the feedback my riding buddy is looking for. Yeah I know ... I ride a F7, I admit it. :cn: But I also know better than to bash anyone's sled due to the growing pains I went through with my F7. Let's put it this way, I'm happy with it now ... and from the seat time I've spent on my buddy's Fusion, that's awesome too. :celebrating:

Can't wait for snow.

I put C&A Outlaw skis on mine last year. They are the skis that they use for snowcross. Real aggressive but you don't have to worry about the front end sliding in the corners. Well worth the money. The only difficulty is finding carbides if you need a replacement. That's why I always have a spare set available.

I had Simmons Flexi's on my 05, they worked great, the thing was on rails, my buddies F7 couldn't keep up in the twisties (the F7 killed me on the lake, before all you Cat-heads start attacking me)...worked great on my XC 700 before that...gonna try the stock skis on the 06 before swapping, but I probably will swap...

Several people I know had good results with Starting Line Products SLT or Powder Pros last year. With aftermarket skis, replacement carbides may be harder to find, but the SLP skis use short wear rods that can almost always be fit in the bellypan or strapped to the belt guard.
