This is my first year riding this sled and I found that my carbides are wearing on the front half and not on the back, I tried 8 inch and 6 inch Woody carbides.

Too much ski pressure maybe. See where the limiter straps are. Is the spindle messed up or something so the front of the ski is angled down causing it to wear like that?

Both my '99 ZR7 and current '02 ZR8cce have always worn the front of the carbides moreso than the rear portion. I believe that this is normal. The front of the carbide strikes the solid obstacles (rocks) first forcing the runner to ride up and over the obstacle. This causes the leading edge of the carbide insert to receive the brunt of the punishment and wear.

I'm with Musky on this one, both my '98's/'99/'00/02 ZR's have done the same thing.
Its normal..................at least for a Cat.
