My sled ia batteryless type with one yellow coming off the rectufier. i was wondering best place to attacjh my heat visor wire only has 2 wires red n black. I did try the thumb warmer but for some reason when i turned on the hand warmers at the same time my machine would die out
im not sure what you mean by VR but i hooked it to the only yellow from the regulator to a toggle on and of switch then to the red wire to my visor and the black to the ground of the chassies/body frame.
VR=voltage regulator. Usually edges i've seen use a voltage regulator with two insulated wires entering it....a yellow and a brown. You want to run the shield wires directly to both of them so they go back to the stator....not one of them directly to chassis ground. I've replace a few vr's already that have failed from guys doing this. Apparently a direct chassis ground on these sleds isn't good enough.
Thats the older style edge vr. You can run one shield lead to the yellow, and the other right to chassis ground like stated in above posts.
