Dangerous question?
The Polaris 800's run good, especially in the correct hands. Another thing to consider is that some F7's dyno at 130HP, and as you can see from a post on HCS today, there are some that are at 145HP.
As a rule, the F7 should be faster, but its hard to tell...

Funny, guys in the XC forum say the opposite. XC 800 will spank an F7. Must be whether or not they are set up. credits to arctic cat though for a 700 that can beat an 800 and bigger sometimes.

The last 3 years at King of the Hill in New Brunswick has been won by an 800XC Polaris, and seems to me that it had beaten every F-7 that it raced against.

The F7 is a light weight 140hp machine that works very well, something like my 800 triple MachZ that will beat the T-cat 1000 some or most of the time. :div20:

If it was a 03 or 04 f7 i would guarantee the win to that, but since most of the 05's are hit and miss it might be close if the 05 er is a dog like so many out there.

I suspect that in Capable hands, the polaris should be a little quicker, I have two riding buddies with an 03 and 04 800xc's, and time after time, little snow, lots of snow, in a drag race, no contest, F7 shows them the snowflap. Someone else, perhaps a better tuner, or someone that can't get the most out of an F7, different story? Mine has been on the dyno, 142 stock with room to turn the pac in more....if the Polaris 800's are high 120's low 130's, and I am 40-50 lbs lighter, can't really expect the outcome to be any different.

Funny you would be asking this question last winter I lined up my 2005 f7 efi sp with an 2002 polairs 800 x and he actually beat me off the start, my mistake  I hesitated but I caught him and passed him, mind you this was only a 1000 foot race. w Well I was so impressed the next time we lined them up I actuall waited for him to get ahead of me by about 50 feet and I still caught him, and passed him befor the end of the field. both sleds are stock ,but he probably has about 40 pound on me.I,m quit impressed with the f7 .
