anyone have suggestions as to the cause of lower rod bearing failure on the PTO side

The first failure occured at full throttle and full speed.
the engine was rebuilt with a used PTO stub shaft on the crank and a used rod.
the bearings were new and the c/shaft seals were new Arctic Cat seals.

The oil pump was checked and bled at run-in and the gas was pre mixed with oil 50/1.
The engine fired up and ran perfect.

It went for approx. 25 k and seized.
Same problem PTO rod bearing seized.

The carbs were also checked and seemed OK The jets were both even.
The cylinders seemed dry and the exhaust pipes were slightly white.

Any suggestions????
