Now that we are getting snow in NY I can ride my new sled.
I picked up a 06 600 SDI dealer said to add oil to 1st fill up.
Operator's guide says add 500 ml to all motors except SDI.
Who do I believe?
What have you guys done?

thanks

I'm just going to drive it. Adding no oil to the tank. :div20:
That's what my local dealler said to do also.

This will be my first weekend taking it out, hopefully. The U P
is really crowded but I want to ride it soon.

When I purchased my 04 SDI, my dealer had already put the extra oil in the gas tank. Every sled I have purchased from him has had the oil already added to my tank. Hope this helps. :div20:

Don't add any oil to the gas in an SDI engine. It won't help. That's what my dealer told me and that's what the manual says. They can't both be wrong. My sled is an '06 GTX 600 SDI, and the break-in was fine. The engine runs perfect. Couldn't be happier.

The SDI has a computer chip in it that adjusts the oil ratio for break in on its own. Putting oil in the tank is a bad idea.

My family and friends have broken in 6 SDI motors NONE did we put oil in the tank and ALL have come out in perfect running condition
