Hey all, great forum.

I just finished putting together a 1998 zr 600 EFI that had a blown top end. After completing the rebuild, I dropped the engine in the sled and am now doing a few checks and I can't get a spark.

Can anybody tell me if the key switch needs to be jumpered on this sled or can I open the circuit by disconnecting the wires. (N.O or N.C circuit)

Also, I have disconnected the kill switch and throttle safety, are there any other places I can illiminate?

Does the oil level switch kill the spark? If so is this a N.O. circuit? can it be disconnected?

Are there any other sensors that would prevent spark on this sled?

Stator tests show 45 ohms on low speed coil, 500 on high speed

thanks.

ya this sled has an open system. unplug the key to test that. if it has a teather, unplug that too. recheck all of your grounds and sand them again. then check your coil. check the boots on the wires to make sure they are good. double check the wireing harness to make sure you didnt accidently unplug anything. there are alot of places to look, power problems suck.
