hey everyone, im matt and am new here. ive finally been able to pursue my dreams of building a 97 triple. i have recently purchased on the cheap 2 running, 97 mach 1's which both have low compression. about 120 psi. i then found a 97 mach z with a bad motor. piston burnt up and bent a rod. he gave me a brand new oem cylinder and piston along with the entire motor in boxes. now for my question, were the lower ends and cranks on the m1's and mz's the same stroke and cases? could i possible use one of my good lower ends and use the top end from the Z? sorry for the long post and look forward to any tips and info i can get. thanks

welp, after a little browsing in these pages, i found my answer from a post back in 2010. i guess its a no go.
