Hey, this is my first post on this forum. I have a 1996 Arctic Cat 550 Cougar that has been sitting in my backyard for 15 years. I have decided to try and get it running and have been for the past week. So far I have cleaned and rebuilt the fuel pump, Fully rebuilt both carbs, got new fuel lines and fuel filter.

The problem I am having is that the carbs aren’t getting any gas and it doesn’t seem like the fuel pump is pumping any gas even though I just rebuilt it. The gas won’t even make it into the fuel filter. It starts up when I put gas into both cylinders but I have tried several times to pull it but no gas is coming from the tank. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

look for in tank fuel pick up line they rot off

You check the fuel line in the tank?
Btw, Lots of those pump rebuild kits suck.
