Those sleds are built good, I did a frame off resto on mine and have to say they are, The motors are very reliable and can hang with the 1000s, I feel there is very little dif btw the 900s and 1000s. A well set up 900 should take a 1000 thats how close they are IMO
The 900 has a very good bore/stroke ratio wich lets it rev VERY FAST, with a littls porting , clutching, reeds and maybe a 25/38 gear and it will REALLY surprise you! The 1000's out of the box are lazy, but with a little setup they scream! cat tripples rule!!!
I agree totally with the other replies. The 900 motor in that chassis is very competitive. I am not sure but I believe that model still has the fastest out of the crate top speed next to the 98 1000 Mr T. Do some mods, Dyno it, get the clutching right and try to keep the shit eating grin at bay so at least people can see your face after you have handed them there ass (NICE)!!!!! :div20:
