my dealer told me i could put a high performance brake dics or lever, something like that. i think it was from speedwerx, but anyway it saves 2.9 pnds of rotating mass. the dealer said each pound u save is like adding 7 hp. he said i would gain over 14 hp with my f7 but not on the dyno. he said u would feel the power. is this true

Look this is how the numbers work.......I am a drag racer and my ride can run .010 of a second every pass down the track.  My little car is 2700#s with me in it and a little 383 big block mopar only putting out 375Hp and will push me to 11's flat all day.
1# of rotational mass or unspriung weight is like 7# of dead weight.
2.9# off rotational mass is 20.3# of dead weight.

Your sled then would go as fast with a 220.3# driver as it would have with a 200# driver before the mod.

100# is like .010 of a second on the 1/4 mile.  With this 2.9#'s off rotational mass you would see a .0049 off your 1/4 mile.

Bottem line it is a gain of .049Hp......in the difference of how the sled will pull.  Your track speed will be at its max faster.  The new DDrive sleds and this brake mod will give a feel of the sled like dropping 100# off the sled.  A 1Hp gain, and you will reach max track speed like you dropped 100# off your sled.

Bottem line 2.9# off unsprung weight is .049Hp.....that is it.

DON'T START LOOKING FOR A NEW DEALER TILL YOU GET YOUR NUMBERS STRAIGHT.....

Oh ya that is a Barton built 572" all aluminum Hemi......ya 850Hp on pump gas at only 5500Rpms....475#'s of mean.....shove that in your sled.

What's that Barton motor going to run in your lightweight car?
