buddy has a new vector, 1.25" track WITH heat exchanger protectors (i think 1" aluminum tubes?). his studs are nicking the exchangers right in the center if the tunnel. dealer said 'oh yeah, they've been having that problem". this is strange, as his studs are not HUGE, and he is a very SLOW rider (100% non-aggressive).

so, has anyone else had this problem, as the dealer stated?

thanks,

Brad

No.

Track too loose? Ripsaws stretch a lot in the first 300 miles.

What studs does he have? Woody's Megabytes 1.325's here.

All studs are not measured the same either.

Yes,our Rages and the Attak with aftermarket rear exchanger have been hitting when we bottom out. For now we riveted pieces of hyfax to tunnel protectors below heat exchangers above track. An update suggests to drill out rivets and pull down tunnel protectors and rerivet with spacers between tunnel and protectors. For 08 the mono shock has a stiffer spring and revalved rear shock. Part of our problem is trying to dial in the preload and have a decent ride over bumps. We wouldn't have bottomed much, but trying to avoid waterbars and 2-3 ft. moguls doesn' help. The ripsaw lugs are serated on top and skip a lug every third row,so the track could compress around the protectors on contact. plowking
