If someone could pin this for a little while it should come in handy

Here is a list of what to check and what you should do to get your 05 (and most any other sled) ready for snow:

Carb sleds. Pull the float bowls and make sure every thing is nice and clean; I would pull the mains and pilots and blow them out with carb cleaner

Pull the belt and clean the clutches

Grease every fitting on the sled

Change the oil in your DD. If you have the extended Keep the receipt for new oil, you will need proof the gearbox was properly maintained for it to be covered. If you have any water in it (milky oil) remove the gearbox, take it apart, clean all the internals, and replace all 3 seals, install the inner bottom seal with the spring towards the oil, and the outer with the spring towards the drivers.

Put a wrench on every suspension bolt to make sure none have worked loose.

Check track alignment and tension, be sure to loosen rear axle before trying to adjust. Check the plastic blocks (between outer wheel and rail) to make sure they aren’t broken where the tension bolt pushes on them.

Check the slide rails for cracks around the rear jounce bumper (see pic below)

Check oil and coolant lines for chaffing

I've used products from Shade Tree and Dennis Kirk called "clutch cleaner." Have found that acetone works just as well and is much cheaper.
