04 xc 800 , 1100 miles on it , v force 3 reeds , slp air horn , slp boost bottle , gutted air box , jetted down 2 sizes , 144 woody studs. NO problem getting traction. i had a epi silver primary spring and a stock secondary spring , stock helix , with 68 gram weights. I want a clutch kit that will pull like a freight train all the way to 100+ ....or the max speed and be trail rideable. what should i get for new springs and helix and weights.

ps ....do helix brands matter as long as the angles are the same ? like are epi and polaris comparable ? ....cause i heard a epi 54-40 /54-42 full progressive helix pulls great on a 04 800....what would be comparable for a polaris helix ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS :div20:

i am itching big time :beerchug:

Helix brands matters, as there's differences in how they measure the angles, and even more how they are cut , ie the transition between the angles. Going from step helix to full progressive.

BTW do you have a button clutch or team clutch?

i am getting a Full progressive EPI 54-40/54-42 PERC Helix , i need a epi yellow primary spring and an epi orange secondary spring. should i get the polaris springs that are rated for the same thing , or go with the EPI one's ? :dunno:

i don't think epi's are CCW wound. also going with 74 gram weights (my buddy maydaze's setup)

i ordered the EPI 54-40/54-42 Full progressive helix today. i got a yellow epi spring that is 165-310 , and a red black secondary spring from polaris that is supposed to be CCW and 140-240(i think).

last year i ran stock helix , 68's , 165-310 and a 140-240 and it pulled 78---7900 , it just had no mid range at all . 0-70 was great , but after that it sucked.

BTW ....epi orange was 140-240
