I have a 03 f7 Efi,,,

Does the Efi and the timing advance work together ? or is it bad to use with a Efi model.. ?

This info is for a sled that is mainly used fo trail riding.. and alittle drag racing..
but likes to be held wide open and for long times.. on the lake..!!!

What is the suggested advance.. ?? would a 1.5* work well ?

Or is this something not worth playing with and should just stay with stock key ?

Thanks Steve..

P.S. I have a few other thing done to it.. Mild port work,, pipe/can, reeds, clutch kit.. fuel mod..

I ran the 2.5* key in my F-7 and it worked fine on the trail and lake ,run good gas! i also adjusted the TPS on the end of the injector body and got rid of the '03 low end bog if you have it! don't want to say too much more ,could start a argument or fist fight around here. :beerchug:

D&D told my to stay with the stock key if you plan on running 87 octane gas. Some places that I ride to only have 87. I don't know if that's your case, but something to think about.

now that i think about it... i don't know if i should put my 2.5 degree key in my f7 for the simple reason that i'm not exactly possitive that i'll be able to get 92 octane at every spot i end up gettin gas. I am trying to think if there is any places in the UP that i would have problems finding 92 octane???

Also, what if i did happen to need 4 or 5 gallons of 87 octane sometime, would i be able to make it if i took it easy and didn't overwork the motor???

I RIDE IN THE U.P ALOT AND HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEM FINDING PREMIUM GAS, EVEN IF THEY DIDNT HAVE IT A 1/2 BOTTLE OF OCTANE BOOST WILL DO THE TRICK. PLUS IF YOU CANT FIND IT I THINK YOU COULD FLICK THE ETHANOL SWITCH OR UNPLUG THE WIRE OR WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO ON YOUR SLED AND RIDE, THATS SUPPOSED TO PULL OUT SOME TIMIMG ANDGIVE IT FUEL I BELIEVE.

Octane boost does NOT do the trick...if you use 87 octane and drop in some octane boost you are only looking at like 87.5-88 octane...when it says a 5 pt increase in octane thats what it means...not 87-92. The best thing to do is to bring some 110 octane in a small bottle then mix that with some 87 if you have to. IMHO if you can't count on always finding premium your better off not running added timing.
