the 440 should win to about 70-80 after that you are going to fall on your face!!!

all last year i would race my buddy (03 f7- 1inch track 153 studs)
with my 03 440 with 96 studs and kill him to 80 -- i would jump on him by 3 sleds

he used to get so pissed!!!!

now this year i've got a 04 sno pro with a 780-- now i will kill him to 100!!!!!!!

i would expect about 5 sled lengths at 100mph!!!

I have two friends that I ride that have F-7's one has a 03 and the other has an 04 all stock. I have an 02 snopro that is basically stock except for being geared way down. In 660ft they dont stand a chance. I have about 4-5 length lead on them. Don't get me wrong they are catching me really quickly but I still have a 4-5 length lead in 660ft.

yeah 660ft is way more then 100yards :div20: 220yards haha :luxhello: i have never seen either a 02 sp or a f7 race so i am not sure but i think if both stock it should be a close 1... that low end power from a 440 should go from the line since in has a good weight to hp advantage but its not really the top end type sled. that i know of. where the f7 is more of a trail sled. so i am not really sure. :dunno:

I had both, -04 440 and -03 F7 at the same time last winter. 440 don´t have a chance. No matter what distance. 440 jumps on starts, but after few meters F7 has gone by.
That is a proven fact.

you must have had a slowwwww 440 then buddy!!!! all 3 of mine--2-03's and the 04 would kill an f7 .

due to just the lugs being bigger and the whole sled being lighter.

never douting that the 7 won't win in a farther race -- but the 440 WILL WIN in 660!

oh sorry, my 440 was changed for pump gas, so that must be it. Now F7 has some go fast -mods and I don´t have that 440 anymore, so I can´t see how it would turn out now.

glad you are amused -- but let the facts be the facts--- 440 will win in 660 stock for stock againt a 7

there is no way -- even a sno pro f-7 would get a holeshot on a stock 440 unless you were on glare ice -- period. a properly set up 440 will win to at least 65-70 mph.

so go figure-- how long would it take to travel 660ft. -- and how fast are you going at that 660?

and we all agree that a 440 will launch on an f-7

those are the facts brother!!!!

maybe bring a sissy little f7 to minocqua this year and i will show you how bad you can be beaten by a little 440!!!!!!

and just for your sake i will leave the 780 on the trailer!!!!!

No way. I had a 02 440 clutched and it would run just about side by side with my F5 sno pro. 440 might win in 660' by a length. This is with a fresh motor in the 440, good clutch, stock gears, timing ADVANCED with good fuel. My F7 will crush the F5 in that distance. The 440 might jump a length off the line, but the F7 will blow it's doors off well before 100 yards. I hope the 440 has it's hood strapped on tight when the F7 blows by! :dance2:

440's are pretty quick. F7's are VERY quick and very fast.

I would have to say that anyone who thinks that a 440 stands half a chance against a F7 is NUTS! It would not even be entertaining to watch such a race. The only way to make it fair would to bracket race. We had Grass Drags yesterday at our local fairgrounds with around 220 entries. The F7's cleaned house in the 7 stock 7 improved, 8 stock, and 8 improved. No try to tell me that a 440 can hang with that, cause if you really think you have one of these amazing machines. Market it and make a killing. Good Luck

....but this is a little different. On grass the sleds are clutched and geared to use 100% of their power in 500'. In stock form the 440 is made to go about 100. The F5 is made to go 115. Because the F7 is geared sooo much higher it can actually be a pretty close VERY SHORT race between a 440 and 700. On grass....not even close for the holeshot.

thats called geared for low end. sure if you put some huge gears in an f7 and clutch it like a newb then the 440 is going to win. put the same gearing, and similar helix in and its a total blow out. the only reason the 440 would jump out front is because its geared lower.

if you think otherwise, just shut up and keep it to yourself.
