Just wondering what belt holds up and performs best on your F7's.
I purchased a used 2003 F7 and it had an 020 on it and an 010 as a spare. I do know they are close in length and width and I believe the 010 is standard equipment.

I have seen drag racers run a polaris belt on the F7's and have great results. Anyone know the poo belt number used?

What do you use? :beerchug:

The F7 came with the 020 belt on it. The 020 belt is wider than the 010. I have found the 020 belt to be better but my secondary is set up for the 020. If you run the 010 you'll probably have to take a shim out of the seconday to get the belt riding where it needs to.

My ZR's all run the 020 so I would prefer to keep it that way and have the same belts.
Thanks for the shim pointer though. Makes sense. :div20:

polaris belts only on dd models(ctc too long on your 03, plus larger diameter secondary won't allow poo belt),,020 is std on 03's, with offset correctly set up, the 020 will last quite long :div20:

I think you can run a poo 065 belt on a 03 if you shim the primary . I think the 010 is a soft belt not sure but if that is the case it wont last as long as the 020 .

Dave,
The 010 & 020 belt are the same compound(hard). The only difference between the 010 & 020 belts is the width just as ChickenhawkF7 stated. :div20:

Ok this is weird. I've never had to change the belt on my 04 F6 and so i took it off for the summer and i could barely get it off(obviously not supposed to be on there). Come to find out it had an 031 belt on it. Does anyone know what they put the 031 belt on? My 04 F7 EXT also had a 031 belt on it. It wasnt as hard to take off. My neighbors early bird had an 020 on it. Does anyone elses F6 or F7 come with 031 belts on them?

Yup, the 04 F6 comes with the 031 belt. If your having problems with the 031 belt burning and slipping at take-off, then give the ODS clutch kit a try. I put that kit on my sled and it fixed the problem. The early build F6 had the 020 belt, it had a slightly different clutch. The 04 F7 shouldn't be any hard to take off the 031 because of the same spring in the secondary.

The poo 10 65 belt is designed around a 12.5" center to center distance. If i remember right the f cats were 12.2" so its close.

The 031 belt is a kevlar belt, if I'm not mistaken. It is supposed to be tougher and last longer :dunno: . They also cost like $20-30 more than the 020

I have been running 034 belts all last winter. Is there that much of a difference?

Just wondering!

So the 04 F7's run the 034 belt? What is the difference between the 020 belt and the 034 belt? I was just wondering because I am racing this saturday and I have a spare 020 belt. I just want to know if I can use the 020 belt in place of the 034.

065 Polaris belt is 12.5" center to center, 075 Polaris is 12" and Cats without DD are 12.2". I run the 065 Polaris belts on my race sleds. Primary and secondary need to be shimmed differently.
