Ok, broke the spring on my Primary Clutch. My dealer did not have the yellow spring in stock, so I bought the Red one. I was told that this would engage at a lower RPM. It does too, somewhere aroud 3200 to 3400 RPM. I think that the clutch normally engaged at 4000 RPM??? What will this do to my top end, as I can not get anywhere to test it right now. Should I find a new yellow one to put back in it, or maybe use a different spring altogether???

Also, does someone know what the operating Max RPM should be on my 01 ZR600 EFI. I am not sure, but I would like my sled to perform the best that it can. The sled is stock other then the 1.25 Camoplast Predator track and 144 1.375 studs. The sled has 2700 miles on it now.

Thank you for any information that you can provide.

I think stock is at 4500 RPM.

Max is supposed to be around 8200-8300, but I had mine setup to go to 8500.

You should not lose any top end, you didn't change the weights right??

BTW: I have a set of Heelclicker clutch weights for that sled if your interested, about 700 miles on the set. Comes with 3 springs, 3 clutch weights, all of the hardware and the intructions. I just want to get rid of them, so I will give you a great price. PM me if interested.
