Default Delta R3 2.0 Chin Curtain

Ok, probably a dumb question, but.......,should the chin curtain on the Delta R3 2.0 go under the chin strap? I tried connecting the chin strap, then just tucking in the chin curtain into my coat, but if you turn your head much, it comes out and you freeze. Thinking if you fasten the chin strap over the curtain it would stay in place. Guidance please.

No. I just run the chin curtain on the outside of my jacket. Works like a dream.

I had the chin curtain come untucked from my coat and instantly got a cold mega draft. Luckily it wasn't that cold out (lower 30's). I can't image just leaving the curtain out all the time. Would be cold and noisy.
