Not to mention, a pipe from say SLP, with some clutching, wakes them up suprisingly big. And they are already fast.

Imo it depends on what you want from the sled. Where do you ride? If you ride only lakes and the northern ontario then go with the winder. If you ride trails that are twisty or want to play off trail go with the SBA.

Coming from the assault imo I would stick with the assault.

My buddies winder is fun to pull the throttle a few times, but I can't wait to get back on my Assault. Sled is outrageous. And Chris hit the nail on the head, the Cat chassis feels a ton like a well setup IQ. Not rider forward, not a complete ass dragger, but somewhere in between. I seriously hope they update it soon.

I thought about this a lot. I started to feel like the winder was just something I found appealing to try. I already know ill love the Assault.

Ill have to try a winder this winter to get it out of my system.

Put a deposit down on a 2019 SBA 800 last night.

It hasn't arrived at the dealer yet, but im excited to see it in person. Black, with black graphics, rails, spindles, tunnel etc.

You'll be more than happy with the SBA. I almost snowchecked a new Tcat when they got re-released and I'm so glad I got the SBA, especially with my buddies all going full boondocker this year (new Summits, BCX 154s, etc).

The thing can rail the trails great and even with a 1.6" setup, goes offtrail very well for being a 50/50 sled.

I went with the 1.3, Same as my 2012. It was pretty good off-trail too. Amazing in the deep and flat. Deep and steep might be a different story, but I don't get into that stuff.

The Polaris black-on-black is sharp.
