I inherited a project sled that blew a motor, and the owner has the motor back in and running with a few things leftover. Anyone have ideas what and where these go? Thanks

Pretty sure the things on the left are for the adjustable seat.
The self tapper at the bottom is not a cat piece.
The rest are various body/chassis bolts used in numerous places

The three silver bolts on the right and similar to Reed bolts in the 2 strokes. Just a bit longer. I figured the self taper didn't belong. I'll check the micro fische for the seat parts

- 2 large pieces on left - hold the seat brackets to tunnel against the gas tank
- 2 self tapping(T20) screws are for the body panel spar to nose
- short larger bolt - heat shield
-short smaller bolt - looks like its from one of the boost solenoid brackets

- self tapper - does not belong
- 3 bolts - dont look like z1 pieces....maybe were used for air filter housing to spar...or something spar related...

Thank you, I will check out all that. I've never dealt with a Z1 so the help is appreciated

What he said BUT the self tapper is from the slide rail that the adjustable seat runs up and down in,it goes in the ( end twds handlebars) rt rail on my sled. It is what keeps the seat from sliding out of the rails when u adjust it. Removal of self tapper is what allows you to remove seat by sliding it up rails till free of them.
Don't know how to explain it better.

Hope this helps.

Yes I understand. Thanks. Those aluminum knobs were a pain to get back on. I don't even get what they do

They should be a tight fit against the gas tank and they just keep the tank from sliding backwards, if not there then the tank has wiggle room. That's my opinion on those.

Edit: I think they may also help side to side wiggle.

Do you think those three silver bolts to the right are not from a Z1? I also have the driven frozen on the diamond drive shaft. And no left hand threaded pullers are out there anymore. I have it tipped on its side with penetrating spray. Then I found they left the rubber snubber out from the left side of the motor by the driven. I was able to get that in thank God

The three silver bolts look like what @Tommcat and @NIL8GM said. Chassis bolts that go through the upper rails where airfilter housing goes, or the other side. I thought they were for the seat bracket to steering column but those ones are gold.

Edit: I'll try to have a look at mine this weekend, as for the secondary, I don't really have a solution for you besides penetrating oil, but keep in mind that bolt hole is the breather for the diamond drive, so whatever you spray in there is going directly into the diamond drive. it will be contaminated and you will have to disassemble. I would do it anyway to check all the bearings, specially the one on the back of the input shaft. they eat their cages and come apart.
