Default Stock Exhaust Tune

Hey Guys,

Just gauging what everyone has heard about stock exhaust tunes. They are relatively new, so I have not read many reviews on the performance gains. Many companies will claim that the sled will have XX more horsepower, but has anyone tested this theory with tangible results? Will the stock exhaust allow for that big of a performance gain, as I have been told by many that they are extremely restrictive. Many companies claim to have a quiet exhaust, but they are far from that, so a stock exhaust option would be extremely practical for those who ride in noise sensitive areas.

Any input would be appreciated.

Just curious as to which part of northern Ontario are you from/or ride...seems like every sled around here is loud haha haven't herd of a noise sensitive area. I know they don't enforce it too much anyway...knock on wood

Say 270 hp stock exhaust and 270 hp with flow thru muffler, we getting the same ? If so why change exhaust, you can save money, not needed?

My guess is that heat buildup and back pressure will put the engine into safe mode much faster. As in bounce off the knock system. Restriction and heat are not turbo friendly.

The difference between the 270 stock muffler and the 270 performance muffler tunes are in the tune itself. The 270hp tune needs much less fuel for the stock muffler as well as different boost duty cycles and ignition timing. The stock muffler will run hotter and will not be quite as fuel efficient as the 270 performance muffler. The stock muffler flashes primarily were made for our friends in Quebec due to the extreme muffler laws

Our stock muffler tunes are not new at all. Ecotrail sm and powertrail sm for 2 seasons.
Max spool 16sm has been tested since last winter for a few months before we released it finally at the end of winter after we felt it was safe.
The tune is incredibly powerful for a stock muffler tune it exceeded our expectations and even redefined what we thought possible.

Track dyno. heat is increased but still acceptable. Some testers have over 5000 km on this tune.
We took our time to release exactly because of that reason.we were worried about the extra heat but turns out the sled can handle it
Also proven 91 octane safe.

I will be posting sheets next week. Too much work this week. Also we are tuning the 900 ace Turbo.
