Default 2018 vs 2017 belts

Did anyone else notice a different belt number for the 2018 it is 0627-112 and 2017 was 0627-104. Just wondering what the difference is and if we should be running the new 112 belt with our new updated cluches? I hope not as I just bought a new 104 belt. When looking at the part break down it only shows the new 112 belt when looking up 2018 sleds, when looking up 2017 sleds it still shows the 104 belt. Also for what it's worth both are the same price. Thanks for the info.

I found guys on Facebook talking about this and they claim they are the same size but different compounds, they say the new belt number is softer.

112 belt doesn't slip, the 104 glazes, real hard. 112 belt way better lasts longer.

I would say the 104 is a good all around belt but if you are into lake racing etc the 112 would be a better choice for grip but more than likely the 112 would suck a few more rpm's because of the extra grip.

the 104 belt Is marginal on a stock sled, it will glaze and slip and will not last at all on a boosted turbo. the 112 is a softer compound and grips a lot better even on a boosted sled.

this is 100% true! I had to take some weight out of my daltons when I put this belt on...lost 200 to 300rpm if not more...I also grenaded it shortly after doing radar runs. But I put in 22/41 gearing and didn't do and clutch work to accommodate the gears. Ill be calling Ron Ward sometime. I here a lot of good things about his clutching and hopefully he will have a solution to my problem...just gotta save some $; because im sure it wont be cheap
