These new Walkers are way better than WE of the past. I really like the ones on my Switchback Assault. I have 2200 miles on mine and they are still working great. The Assault track will trench unless the snow is heavy wet and dense.

Kinda the same boat for me too...Ride in NH...have an 11 SBA 144 1.325, but I am keeping that and selling my 10.5 LE Etec 800 MXZ XP...anyone want it???...and looking to get an RMK PRO or Assault 155...I am beeing steered towards the RMK Pro by a buddy b/c of the fact that the Assault has the wider front end, is heavier, and does not have the track for around here...I would have loved a Direct Injection 800 too...

Does the RMK Assault have a sway bar?

No, it doesn't. It has stiffer springs and a wider stance but no sway bar. I suspect to let it roll a little easier with the wide stance. It is pretty cool on a trail with uneven bumps...the skis working individually keeps it tracking quite nicely.

I think I can gain some stability back on the Pro with my C&A MTX skis (8" wide and love em) The Pro set to the widest ski stance with my skis has the same footprint as the Assault set to the middle stance with stock skis. Thoughts on that theory anyone?

I have a assault rmk 2012 and love but I got the powder track. The only thing I have to say is the suspension is very stiff even at the lowest setting and I weigh 200 lbs. I went from a 2011 sba also. I will say they are night and day off trail. Bottom line the assault rmk is awesome

Do the RMK PROs have Swaybars or is it just the RMK Assaults that don't have them?

The Pro RMKs do have a swaybar I believe, but a narrow stance. The Assault has a wide stance, no swaybar, but stiffer springs to help compensate for the lack of swaybar to some degree. It works pretty well as a compromise I think, pretty stable, but you can still roll it over when you want.
