Default 2012 Pro RMK Broken Casting? Welding?

Long story short is that I got this sled in a trade and I didn't check it out very well (stupid I know) and I took it to a local Polaris dealer for a TPS adjustment, reflash on the ECU and a few other things. The good news is that they called today and said it's running great...bad news is they discovered this and sent me a picture...anybody know what I'm looking at here?

Also when I have this welded what potential issues should I be aware of...should I unplug the ECU? Anything else?

Thank for posting my other thread as well...When the dealer sent me the picture I was confused as to where the problem was and after getting it home I was glad to see it's easily accessible.
