where did you pick up the Lords? I heard it's quite expensive and there is an alternative auto body glue that can be used.

I get it direct through Polaris since I work at a dealership. Buying just the adhesive itself isn’t that bad, I want to say around $50 over the counter, it’s when they want to sell you the adapter kit along with it that it jumps to a couple hundred bucks. There is a Lord part number in the service manual to order it through online or local places.

The stainless bolts for the waterpump cover and the intake boot finally came in! These ones were from Fastenal, M6x1.0x20 and M6x1.0x25.

Installed the waterpump cover on the short block.

Reed valves all prepped for installation along with new gaskets.

Reed valves and intake boot installed. Came out to be a very nice fit!

Finally making some more progress on this project! I moved a few things out of the garage to make room to tear the sled down.

Getting started

A few minutes later. I had to fight off a few of the fuel tank and seat bolts, so those will all be upgraded to the new square base bolts from the Axys sleds.

A few more things that will need to be addressed. The throttle block is damaged and will be upgraded to the 2013+.

The steering stop area on the overstructure is broken out and will need to be repaired.

Also removed the hardware from the old, damaged side panels and hood.

Track and suspension is off. Im going to replace the billet wheels with stock ones in the rear and rebuild the shocks while its apart.

Front suspension and overstructure coming off next.

Chaincase removed and the area for the new belt drive backer cleaned up. Unfortunately the chassis has a few places that need some welding repair as well as the overstructure, so it will be a little while since they both got sent out for welding.

We are back in business! The chassis now has all the small cracks and issues fixed, the overstructure was repaired also but they missed two places I wanted touched as well, so I wont have that back until later on.

I brought the chassis inside to keep the bonding glue at a stable temp to cure properly, much to the wifeys displeasure, but spent some time cleaning it beforehand. Im just about ready to drop on the belt drive backing plate!
