Sled was on its side for numerous times and even rolled it over to get un stuck and no oil leaked out onto my clutches. On my 2015 I will drill the cap as well as I don't think its a bad thing and will adjust my oil pump to get down to 55 to 1.

There is numerous ways to vent your tank if you are nervous but some stuff on here and other sites does get blown out of proportion. If it was a major problem I'm pretty sure the issue would have been addressed by the factory.
kinda like how they have addressed the 800 motor issue?

The factory fixing a problem would be admitting there is a problem. Theyre in the business to sell new sleds and parts not fix their fukups unless theyre forced too.

It would be so easy and cheap for them to update the cap though. And that's why my opinion is they legitimately don't think it's a problem, because someone from Polaris has to have heard these complaints by now. They wouldn't have to make a big deal of it, they could just put a Ski-Doo style cap on there that looks identical, then just switch the part numbers and the only people who would notice are the ones who care about the current cap design. It's not like they'd have to eat a bunch of crow, like if it was a structural component failure or major engine flaw.

Also the doo cap hasva better design to get a grip on ..

I'm not trying to sell any one on the venting idea but the little things like this are why my snowmobiles make it 9000+ miles with zero problems

Yeah, the first thing I noticed was how easy it was to get a grip on the Doo cap vs the stock. The finger grips were so big I was concerned the side panel wouldn't close...lol
