Nice post Tuneman!
Well done.
For those who do not want to remove the heating element, you can fill the bars with expanding foam or stuff with insulation. It is not as effective as corking, but it does improve heat transfer to your hands.....

Excellent "how to" article Tuneman! Thanks for sharing.

Funny thing is I always heard how the hand warmers didn't work well with the aluminum handlebars and I planned on corking my 2015 snowcheck SBA as soon as I got it but I've taken it for two rides now and the grips were so hot I couldn't stand the heat through my Klim gloves. I wonder if they changed something on the 2015's to make them hotter or what? Mine gets really hot without cork....?

Here is the link for the Cork. Make sure you select super saver shipping method because it will take the same amount of time regardless.

Great write up Tuneman! Very well done! I've never had an issue with my heaters, but good to know regardless.

Nicely done. Just replaced my cork, warmers and grips on the doo. That cork makes a huge difference in delivering heat to the hands (and not the bars).

Wow, there will always be somewhere that will sell cheaper however, they do not advertise or support this site.

Even if I ship via USPS in a padded envelope it would be $6 dollars which would already but me in the hole selling these with free shipping. If the $.50 is killing some I can sell for $7. LOL. What I don't understand is why most don't use my super saver shipping option.

For what it's worth SPI was listed as the seller and if I had more stuff to buy I would have gotten them from you.

The local Doo dealer didn't have any cork in stock and I just checked Amazon as a fluke. I was surprised to find it so I figured I would share.
