Default No Sliding Front Arm on XF models

Any idea why they don't put the sliding front arm on the XF series? Is it not needed with the longer skid, or does it inhibit off-trail riding?

I really would have liked a "base" model (i.e. LXR w/out electric start) with standard shock package. I have the floats now on the front of my F8 and they can be a bit harsh... are the Float 2's better?

Float 2 are far better and the evols are excellent. I tried all three and the stock are crap and just too harsh for all day riding. The float 2's are far superior in the small stuff and chatter bumps. The evol is better everywhere and would be my pick as long as they don't set them up to stiff to start with.

What's diff with the Float 2's? The small trail chatter is what I don't like on the original floats... they're great in the bigger bumps cause they never bottom... 5600 miles and i've never rebuilt them or lost any air pressure (i have the AC shock guards on them)
