here is something to try, pull the cables on the power valves to wide open on the servo and unplug so they stay open, (might show a code) but this should allow it to get to full power if they were not opening. just a thought as it was wrking before no problem and you say gas is good. this is a typical symptom of pulled timing or hot engine... the valves are another possibility when not opening.

Back on the trail today, same stuff. Thing is an absolute dog up top, really bad coming out of corners won’t pull rpm at all. It did run much better out of the trailer though got worse as day went on. Temp was same, same fuel. Belt deflection got tight at end of ride.

sure sounds clutch related

he should be able to contact the dealer with his VIN# and see if the recall was applicable or performed. but, there's been folks that have had the replacement fail again, so it's worth fully inspecting the primary and secondary.

from reading off the turbo forum clutch thread, the scope of sleds involved with primary issues may be expanding.

What are your temps? Temps are all over the place all the time on these Procross sleds it seems. Not 100% sure but maybe the ECU pulls timing above a certain temp? All I know is after I flashed mine this year this issue is gone.

Been experiencing the same thing my last 2 rides. Really only hits 8-8100 once at the very top end. Trails were perfect today and it did 105mph on GPS, but seems to lag when you hammer on it at 60mph, it only revs to 74-7800rpm while climbing speed, but finally hits 8000 around the 90mph mark.

Glad you mentioned that again. Has anyone confirmed the primary spring?
I've seen some break just off the first coil. Hard to see. They still run OK, but will display some of the symptoms described. Breaks close to the end allow it to still work like a reduced rate spring. They basically load the motor too low, but still allow higher rpms if conditions are perfect.

Breaks in the middle of a spring are a whole different animal. That would not be suspect in this case.

I'm a big fan of eliminating the easy stuff first. Check the spring before you tear everything apart.
